Product Manager Automation (for OEM)

The Position

Your primary task is to manage the Automation platform targeted for the OEM business (machine builders). This product group is highly innovative with multiple launches year over year. As product manager you will be working in several OEM segments such as Packaging, Material Handling and Hoisting as examples. The solutions for which you are responsible for offer a total package (product + software) for several customer segments to allow fastest time to market. The automation platform is based around the Machine Struxure/SoMachine concept.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the process of product launches in close collaboration with sales and partners including executing training to sales and other stakeholders;
• Manage the price structure in the market, evaluate competition on both commercial as well technical;
• Increase the presence of your portfolio at the “shelf” of sales partners;
• Collaborate with peers to coordinate action and to promote each other’s portfolio to bring the whole SE offer to the market;
• Work on plans (strategic) to analyze the market and look for new growth opportunities;
• Responsible for the sales results of the line of business.

Your Profile

Minimum qualifications (required)

• Bachelor (HBO) education level (Technische Bedrijfskunde or Commerciële Engineering);
• Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in a commercial or marketing role;
• Competitive mentality with a drive to be ‘best in class’;
• Able to enthusiasm others to deploy the opportunities that you analyse in the market;
• Customer centric behaviour in the way your setup your actions;
• Excellent communication skills (Dutch and English) oral and written. Able to explain a complex matters in a simple way or with metaphors.

Preferred qualifications

• Working experience in an international and technical environment;
• Experience in using strategic sales methods.
