Regional Sales Manager (pumps / pump systems)

The PositionAs Regional Sales Manager Eastern Europe you support the distributors in both commercial and technical aspects. Commercially, your main responsibility is to achieve the annual sales targets and to provide sustainable growth in the countries under your responsibility. This being done by growing the business in the existing distributor network, finding additional distributors and by supporting the direct business our Clients has with end-users in defined markets (bigger rental companies). You are also responsible for providing training to the distributors, visiting end-users (in most cases together with the distributor) and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction. On the technical side, you help the distributors with questions, inquires and other aspects distributors cannot process themselves. You will be sufficiently familiar with the line of products at our Client to answer many of the questions directly, for more complicated aspects you can rely on the engineering team in The Netherlands. Travelling will be a substantial part of the job. When not travelling, you will work from home. The first period of employment is characterized by the familiarization process, in which you get to know the products, services and markets of our Client. During your first customer visits, you will travel together with an experienced colleague. At a later stage, this colleague will support you during the different phases of projects.
Coverage Eastern Europe
Romania – Czech Republic – Slovakia – Moldova - Israel – Hungary – Turkey – Bulgaria – Hungary – Kazakhstan – Poland. Russian Federation, Ukraine and Belarus are also part of the region, currently our Client does not do business in these countries due to the war.
- Higher vocational education
- Proven track record in sales B2B (at least five years).
- Commercial and technical background, preferably in the pump industry.
- Preferably experience in working with distributors.
- Extrovert, social person with strong personality
- Highly driven and self-motivated.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong communicator who is excellent in developing relationships.
- Disciplined and organized.
- Good team player.
- Willing to travel – at least 30% of the time.
- Able to work from home (home office).
- Fluent English, other (Eastern European) languages is advantageous.
- Must feel comfortable with the people and business cultures in the assigned region.
- IT knowledge MS Office, CRM and ERP software.
- Driving licence
- Preferably living in the Eastern European region.

The European market is served through a dedicated network of distributors and a great team of experts from the European head office in The Netherlands. The European sales is done through an extensive distributor network, and in defined cases also directly to end-users.
