The Position

As an Account Manager you will become our Client’s representative for its customers and will have a combined Sales and relationship management function. You will advise product range, listen carefully to the wishes of the customer and translate this into possibilities. You will be assisted by our Client's Commercial office and the Marketing department. Additionally, you will be responsible for achieving your annual target for your customer portfolio and achieving your qualitative objectives. You will also actively look for new sales opportunities within the retail sector. In this role you will report to the Sales Manager. Other responsibilities will include:
  • Visiting your customers at your own discretion to set up and further expand collaborations.
  • Determining the wishes and needs of the customer and drawing up (in collaboration with the customer) an account plan with a focus on marketing, product range, pricing and promotions.
  • Proactively and creatively thinking along with customers to develop (new) possibilities, promotions and projects.
  • Initiating and/or proposing process improvements that will increase your success.
  • Ensuring that agreements made with your customers are fulfilled.
  • Ensuring a smooth aftersales.
  • Visiting and participating in (international) trade fairs.
  • Continuously safeguarding our Client's brand experience and distribution channels.

Your Profile

  • HBO degree or work related experience on HBO level, preferably in a commercial direction.
  • Affinity with our Client's products. It goes without saying that experience in the kitchen industry, appliances, or kitchen equipment is a big advantage.
  • Demonstrable, successful experience as an account manager, and working with account plans and targets.
  • You are customer-oriented, without losing sight of your own organization’s interest.
  • You are motivated, ambitious and enthusiastic.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Dutch and English language skills (written & oral).
